Standard Chartered Trust Fund
Standard
Chartered Trust Fund (SCTF) was registered in 2005 under the Trustee Incorporation
Act 1952 as the charitable arm of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad.
Its main objective is to identify and channel financial support and aid
to deserving community programs in Malaysia currently based on the following
themes -
Living with HIV/AIDS, Seeing Is Believing, and Youth, Health & Education.
The SCTF is administered by a Board of Trustees, comprising six members - three (3) senior management members of the Bank and three (3) independent members. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.

The Board oversees a Working Committee which is responsible for the day
to day
management of the SCTF. A Working Committee comprising eight (8) senior
Bank officers
representing various divisions of the Bank is appointed by the Board to
administer the
Fund. The Working Committee is chaired by the current Head of Corporate
Affairs of the
Bank who is also a member of the Board of Trustees.
From time to time, the Board may consider providing financial support
to other themes or
Causes , however, in selecting projects that merit such financial support
, the Board of
Trustees and its Working Committee will be guided at all times by six
Guiding Principles
which are aligned to the Trust Deed.
These are:
- Long term, sustainable and measurable benefits for the community;
- Measurable benefits for the Bank’s standing in the community;
- Demonstrable benefits for the Bank’s business;
- Focus on high impact activities;
- Opportunities for staff involvement;
- Opportunities for customer involvement through product tie-ups, material and labour supplies and other support
It receives an annual grant from the Bank as well as monies raised in
the entire Bank’s
fund-raising activities such as its Golf Tournaments, Rugby Clinic, Annual
Ball and so on.

| • | Rumah Solehah (Shelter Homes for children infected/affected with HIV/AIDS) |
| • | Pusat Jagaan Nur Salam (Day care center affected HIV/AIDS children) |
| • | Malaysian Aids Foundation - Paediatric Fund (Infected/affected children with HIV/AIDS living with their parent/guardian) |
