1. What is MoneyHome Card all about?
 
MoneyHome Card is a money transfer card that allows you to transfer money home from selected Giant retail outlets to friends and family in Indonesia via PermataBank branches, Indomaret and Hero stores. Currently the service is limited to Indonesia but this will be set to change very soon.
 
 
2. How secure is MoneyHome Card?
 
Very secure, as it ensures that your transfer will not be lost. MoneyHome Card is issued by Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, one of the largest banking groups in the world. It is protected by encryption software and multi layer PINs on the beneficiary side.
 
 
3. Where can I apply for MoneyHome Card?
 
You may apply for the card at selected Giant retail outlets, at their Customer Service Desk.
 
 
4. Who can apply for MoneyHome Card?
 
This service is open for everyone aged 18 years and with the need of sending money to Indonesia (Malaysians with valid ID and Indonesians/other foreigners with valid passport)
 
 
5. What types of documents do i need to present for registration of MoneyHome Card?
 
For registration of MoneyHome Card, you need to present the followings:
• Senders ID (Identity Card for Malaysians and valid passport for Indonesia and foreigners)
• Beneficiary’s details (name, KTP No, Contact No and residential address, relationship)
• And, complete and sign the Application Form
 
 
6. Must I be an existing Standard Chartered customer first before I can apply for MoneyHome Card?
 
No, you do not have to be an existing Standard Chartered customer
 
 
7. Is there any cost to apply for MoneyHome Card?
 
No, the card is issued free upon successful registration.
 
 
8. How many Giant retail outlets are there?
 
There are currently 20 Giant stores participating nationwide.
 
 
9. Could I send money any time of the day?
 
You may remit money at selected Giant stores when it is open according to Giant’s operating hours.
 
 
10. Could I transfer money anywhere?
 
At the moment, transfer can only be made to Indonesia.
 
 
11. How soon will my beneficiary receive the money if I transfer the money today?
 
If you send the money before 11am on banking day, your beneficiary will be able to collect the money on the same day. However, if you transfer the money after 11am, your beneficiary can only collect the money on the next banking day.
 
 
12. If I remit money on a weekend or a public holiday before 11am, will my beneficiary get money on the same day?
 
No. If you remit money on a weekend/public holiday, your beneficiary will only get the money on the next banking day.
 
 
13. Where can my beneficiary collect the money that I transferred?
 
Your beneficiary can get the funds from selected PermataBank branches, Indomaret and P.T. Hero outlets in Indonesia.
 
 
14. My beneficiary has some questions about the MoneyHome Card transfer which I have done last week. Who can I contact in Indonesia?
 
You can contact PermataBank at +6221 500111.
 
 
15. Could I transfer any amount of money, or must it be a round figure?
 
You have a choice of pre-fix values – RM100, RM250, RM500, RM750, RM1000, RM1250 and RM1500
 
 
16. Could I transfer money in other currencies besides Indonesian Ruppiah?
 
No, you cannot. Currently you can only transfer money in Indonesian Ruppiah. However, Standard Chartered has plans to open up a new corridor for other currency(ies) in the future.
 
 
17. Are there any fees associated with the money transfer?
 
Yes, you will be required to pay a transfer fee ranging from RM 7 to RM 12, according to the amount remitted.
 
 
18. Will my beneficiary have to bear additional charges upon receiving the money?
 
No, your beneficiary will not have to bear any form of charges.
 
 
19. Is there any limit on the money transfer?
 
The minimum of RM 100 and maximum of RM3000(in total) per day per sender
 
 
20. Who do I contact to enquire on the status of the remittance?
 
You may call us at MoneyHome Card Helpline at 1-300-882 885 to enquire on the status.
 
 
21. What types of documents do i need to present for purchase of money transfer at Giant store?
 
For purchase of Money Transfer, you are required to present the following documents at the Giant’s Customer Service Desk:
I) Valid Identity Card (Malaysians) + Moneyhome Card
II) Valid passport (Indonesians/Other Foreigners) + Moneyhome Card
 
 
22. How will I know if my transfer is successful?
 
You must inform your beneficiary on the transfer made and provide them with the last 6 digit M Reference Code as per receipt,KTP No and registered contact no of sender for redemption/withdrawal of cash. You may call MoneyHome Card Helpline at 1-300-882 885 and check on the status of your transfer.
 
 
23. Can I cancel my transaction and ask for refund?
 
Yes, you may cancel your transaction if your money has not been remitted to Indonesia. To arrange for a refund, you may call MoneyHome Card Helpline at 1-300-882 885 before the next cut off time from your transaction time (i.e. 11am, 3pm & 10pm). Then, you may collect the refund from the originating Giant outlet on the same day. If the money has already been remitted (after the cut off time), no refund/cancellation could be made.
 
 
24. How do I report a lost card?
 
Please call MoneyHome Card Helpline at 1-300-882 885 to report lost/spoilt card, then proceed to selected Giant outlets for card replacement.
 
 
 
25. How can my beneficiary report a lost card?
 
Please advise your beneficiary to contact Permata Bank Call centre at +6221 500111 to report loss.
 
 
 
26. Can I “cancel” or close my card if I do not want to perform any more transfer as I will be going back to Indonesia?
 
Yes. You may call MoneyHome Card Helpline at 1-300-882 885 to close your card.
